Leadership
Ted Kohn
Ted is the President and Founder of GBailey Direct Marketing. Ted began his direct mail advertising career while studying at the University of Georgia in the 1980s. Graduating from the Journalism school at UGA, he spent over 20 years owning and operating Cash Magazine, a direct mail product, in both Savannah and Hilton Head.
In 2010, Kohn moved to Charlotte and worked for nearly 5 years for the Charlotte Observer in their Direct Marketing department selling direct mail and insert products. In 2016, Ted launched GBailey Direct Marketing. GBailey is a direct nod to the fictional character, George Bailey, who is the hero in the classic movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life”.
Ted prides himself as an honest and loyal businessman who wants to see his community, whether near or far, not only survive, but thrive with their marketing efforts. Kohn adds, “We want to work with clients for the long haul and build a lasting relationship.”
Kohn’s services are sought after by many nationwide for his exceptional customer service, his keen eye for successful mail pieces, and his all-around ability to make things happen! “We like to make it easy for our customers. They use us because we are comprehensive in our approach. Working with us is not like working with a cookie cutter online operator where you upload your art and check yourself out. We are full service for a reason. The team we’ve built can design the art, proof it, select the precise data, follow it through both the print and mail process, then track the mail all the way until it gets in-home using predictive data compiled over decades.”
When Kohn is not thinking of the next mail marketing strategy, you will find him spending time with his family, watching (or attending) Georgia Bulldog football games, gardening, or singing his favorite karaoke songs.
Brian Talone
Brian is the Director of Operations & Creative Services and has been with GBailey Direct since its inception in 2016 after working with Kohn at the newspaper.
Brian has 16 years of experience directing operations. With over 25 years of experience in the field of graphic design, Brian is passionate about creating compelling visual solutions that resonate with clients and their target audiences. Throughout his extensive career, he has worked on a wide range of projects spanning various industries, from small startups to global corporations. Brian’s work is characterized by innovation, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering designs that exceed expectations. In his free time, Brian likes to travel, go to sporting events and spend time with his sons.
Kohn says of Talone: “Brian leaves no stone unturned. It’s amazing the workload he can execute in a given day and he always wants more. We try to keep him happy.”
Lori Cavallario
Lori is the Project Manager at GBailey Direct. She has over 20 years marketing experience, spending more than a decade working in public relations in NYC and LA. “Lori has brought a new dynamic to the company that started out as just a temp role. Her versatility sets her apart. Lori has made us better at what we do,” Kohn added.
An entrepreneur at heart, Lori also designs and publishes children’s books. Her portfolio of over a dozen books consistently sell to a worldwide audience. Outside of work, Lori loves family time, beach vacations, and planning themed parties.
